DIVINE INTERCESSION IN THE CATHOLIC FAITH
Have you ever sought out a sibling or friend to intervene on your behalf with other family members or friends when you couldn't connect or found it difficult to express yourself? The following are your divine family members and friends, ready, willing, and able to intercede in your relationship with God.

The Holy Trinity

God, our creator, directly and lovingly guides us towards our own sainthood as His plan for us unfolds. Sometimes we feel the need for someone closer to God such as the divine intercessors, to put forth our prayers. Jesus gave us the "Our Father" prayer so that we might turn to God directly, without intercession.
Our Father who art in heaven
Hallowed be thy name
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done as it is in heaven.
Give us this day, our daily bread
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from Evil.
Amen

Jesus Christ ignites Compassion, Mercy and Love in our hearts through his example of Human Divinity and sacrifice for our redemption, showing us the way to our Divine Humanity. Below is the short and powerful Jesus Prayer:

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.

Holy Spirit, the love between God and His son, provides spiritual nourishment for our souls, and is the subtle resonance, magnetism, and light of Divine Presence.

Holy Spirit, thank you for interceding on our behalf. Give us hope and help us to pray. We trust you, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Blessed Virgin Mother Mary

Blessed Virgin Mother Mary is the ultimate model for surrender to God's will through trust and love for Him. Born without sin, Mary, as the new Eve, is central to our salvation. As the mother of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, she is our intercessor. Use the following prayer, commonly referred to as the "Rosary" or "Hail Mary" to invoke the blessings and fortitude of Mary's intercessory gifts.

Hail Mary, full of Grace, the Lord is with You
Blessed are you among women
And blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
Pray for us now and
at the hour of our death. Amen

St. Joseph

St. Joseph, Mary's spouse and "earthly" father to Jesus Christ was a "just" man. Like Mary, he was attuned to God's will and gave himself over to it, fulfilling his role as protector and provider for the Holy Family and a virtuous father figure for followers of Jesus today. A St Joseph prayer of intercession:

Oh St. Joseph whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the throne of God, I place in you all my interests and desires. Oh St. Joseph do assist me by your powerful intercession and obtain for me from your divine son all spiritual blessings through Jesus Christ, our Lord; so that having engaged here below your heavenly power I may offer my thanksgiving and homage to the most loving of fathers. Oh St. Joseph, I never weary contemplating you and Jesus asleep in your arms. I dare not approach while he reposes near your heart. Press him in my name and kiss his fine head for me, and ask him to return the kiss when I draw my dying breath. St. Joseph, patron of departing souls, pray for us.
Amen

Saints and Angels

Saints were once one of us as humans who dedicated their lives to the loving pursuit of God. Known for their “heroic sanctity” while alive on Earth they are believed to now be present in heaven. Religious and nonreligious people alike have found inspiration from their lives and call on them to be intercessors between God and ourselves while modeling ways to our own sainthood.
Angels are supernatural beings created by God to be His servants and messengers and in so doing protect us, pray for us, inspire us, encourage us, and guide us during our time on Earth.
