Service Description

Visio Divina ("divine seeing") is an ancient Catholic contemplative prayer practice using sacred art, icons, or nature to encounter God, often described as "praying with the eyes". Similar to Lectio Divina, it involves a slow, meditative gaze on visual images to deepen faith, engage the imagination, and foster a personal, spiritual, and emotional connection to divine mysteries in this instant an image of Body of Christ held in a Monstrance.
